Jenks, Sapulpa to host 5A Area Tournaments
TULSA – The 5A Boys Area Tournament is set to take place on March 6 and 7, determining which teams will advance to the state tournament. The competition will be held at neutral sites, with matchups scheduled at Jenks and Sapulpa.
At Jenks, Collinsville, the runner-up from Regional 1, will face Will Rogers, the runner-up from Regional 4, at 7:30 p.m. on March 6. Earlier that evening, Memorial (T), the winner of Regional 3, will take on Edison Prep, the winner of Regional 2, at 6:00 p.m. The winners of these two games will meet on March 7 at 7:00 p.m., with the victor securing a spot in the state tournament.
Meanwhile, at Sapulpa, Shawnee, the runner-up from Regional 3, is set to play Bishop Kelley, the runner-up from Regional 2, at 7:30 p.m. on March 6. Prior to that matchup, B.T. Washington, the winner of Regional 1, will go up against East Central, the winner of Regional 4, at 6:00 p.m. The winners of these contests will clash on March 7 at 7:00 p.m., with the final team also punching its ticket to the state tournament.
The state tournament will take place on March 10, 13, and 15. The quarterfinals and championship game will be hosted at Jim Norick Arena in Oklahoma City, while the semifinals will be held at Yukon High School. The winners from the area tournaments will advance to the state tournament, while the runner-ups from each area will also qualify for the state quarterfinals.
Class 5A Girls Tournament Bracket Set
The 5A Girls Area Tournament will take place on March 4 and March 7, with games hosted at Jenks and Sapulpa. The winners of the tournament will secure a spot in the state tournament, while the runner-ups will also qualify for the state quarterfinals.
At Jenks, Will Rogers, the runner-up from Regional 1, will take on Bishop Kelley, the runner-up from Regional 4, at 7:30 p.m. on March 4. Earlier that evening, Coweta, the winner of Regional 3, will face Shawnee, the winner of Regional 2, at 6:00 p.m. The winners of these two games will meet on March 7 at 3:30 p.m., with the victor advancing to the state tournament.
At Sapulpa, Collinsville, the runner-up from Regional 3, is set to compete against Pryor, the runner-up from Regional 2, at 7:30 p.m. on March 4. Prior to that, B.T. Washington, the winner of Regional 1, will play Durant, the winner of Regional 4, at 6:00 p.m. The winners of these contests will clash on March 7 at 3:30 p.m., with the final team securing its place in the state tournament.
The state tournament will be held on March 10, 13, and 15. OCA Announces All-Star Games Schedule, Locations
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Coaches Association has released its full schedule for the 2025 All-State events, set to take place July 26-31 across multiple venues in the Tulsa area and central Oklahoma.
Festivities kick off Saturday, July 26, with the Old Timers Reception at 5 p.m. at the Marriott Southern Hills in Tulsa, followed by the Hall of Fame Banquet at 6:30 p.m. at the same location. Tickets for the banquet are $40 per person.
The All-State competitions begin Monday, July 28, with golf at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Catoosa starting at 8:30 a.m., swimming at Edmond Schools Aquatic Center at 5:30 p.m., and volleyball at Frank Herald Field House in Jenks with matches beginning at 6 p.m.
Tennis matches are scheduled for Tuesday, July 29, at 5:30 p.m. at the University of Tulsa’s Michael D. Case Center. Girls basketball will also take place Tuesday at Memorial Veterans Arena in Tulsa, with games starting at 6 p.m.
Wrestling is set for Wednesday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at Catoosa High School, while boys basketball will also be held Wednesday at Memorial Veterans Arena beginning at 6 p.m.
The All-State Football Game will conclude the week’s events on Thursday, July 31, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. following pre-game festivities starting at 6:15 p.m. The OCA announced a location change for the football game, which will now be held at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
Tickets for all sporting events will be available at the venues on the day of the event for $10 general admission.
Pre-game festivities will begin 30 minutes prior to game time for all sports, except for football, where activities will begin 45 minutes before kickoff.
