HOUSTON – No. 16 Oklahoma State stunned No. 1 Texas A&M with a 4-0 shutout victory Saturday night at the Astros Foundation College Classic in Daikin Park. The win marked OSU’s first over a top-ranked team since 2022 and improved the Cowboys to 5-4 on the season.

Three OSU pitchers combined for a dominant performance, allowing just four hits while striking out 13. Harrison Bodendorf (3-0) earned the win, pitching five innings with seven strikeouts and only one hit allowed. Drew Blake followed with five strikeouts in three scoreless innings, and Sean Youngerman closed the game in the ninth.

At the plate, Garrett Shull and Drew Culbertson led OSU with two hits each. Shull opened the scoring in the second inning with his first career home run, a 430-foot blast off the foul pole in left field. The Cowboys extended their lead in the third when Jayson Jones ripped an RBI triple, followed by a Texas A&M fielding error that made it 3-0. An unearned run in the fifth added insurance, but OSU’s pitching staff ensured it wasn’t needed.

The Aggies struggled to generate offense against OSU’s elite pitching, mustering just four hits. The Cowboys’ flawless defensive effort and timely hitting secured a signature win for head coach Josh Holliday, improving his record to 5-4 against No. 1-ranked teams.

OSU concludes the tournament on Sunday at 2:05 PM against No. 15 Mississippi State.
